MCP stands for Medical Courier Pro, a professional certification awarded by the Medical Courier Association upon successful completion of its 4-in-1 training and certification requirements.
The program emphasizes healthcare transportation practices, specimen integrity, regulatory awareness, documentation accuracy, and professional decision-making. MCP provides a structured opportunity to demonstrate specialized knowledge beyond entry-level medical courier training.
MCP combines four specialized healthcare logistics training areas into one online certification program:
Successful participants earn four verifiable Certificates of Completion and MCP professional certification.
Medical courier professionals may transport laboratory specimens, biological materials, and temperature-sensitive healthcare shipments requiring careful handling and reliable delivery.
MCP training addresses specimen transportation procedures, hazardous materials awareness, temperature-controlled handling, exposure prevention, and the importance of maintaining shipment integrity. Participants learn to recognize transportation risks, follow applicable procedures, and support safe, reliable healthcare logistics operations.
Accurate documentation supports specimen accountability, shipment tracking, and reliable healthcare transportation.
MCP training introduces chain of custody procedures, pickup and delivery verification, transfer records, specimen tracking, exception reporting, and professional documentation practices. Applied exercises reinforce decision-making and recordkeeping responsibilities encountered in medical courier operations.
MCP is designed for participants who have completed foundational medical courier training or possess equivalent relevant knowledge.
The online program includes 12 instructional modules, six Applied Professional Exercises, 30 scored competency decisions, and a 60-question certification examination.
Participants must achieve a minimum passing score of 80% and successfully complete the required program assessments to earn MCP Certification.
MCP Training & Certification is available for a one-time enrollment fee of $145.
Enrollment includes online educational materials, specialized training in four healthcare logistics subjects, applied professional exercises, competency assessments, a final certification examination, four verifiable training Certificates of Completion, and MCP professional certification upon successful completion.
